The Challenge

Herenga ā Nuku Aotearoa (HAN), a government commission, embarked on a significant rebranding initiative in 2022. A key component of this transformation was modernising the organisation's intranet to align with its new identity and values. However, HAN encountered several obstacles, including limited internal IT resources and tight project deadlines that threatened the successful implementation of the new intranet.

The Solution

To address these challenges, HAN partnered with Spoke to revitalise its digital workplace, employing a comprehensive strategy that integrated our core services for maximum impact:


Comprehensive Assessment and Strategic Roadmap

We conducted a thorough evaluation of HAN's existing intranet, identifying its strengths and weaknesses. This assessment informed the development of a tailored M365 Strategic Roadmap that aligned the intranet with the new brand identity, ensuring that all enhancements were relevant and impactful.


Design Excellence and User-Centric Approach

Using our Traction Intranet framework, we crafted a visually appealing and user-friendly homepage that encapsulated HAN's new brand. This design prioritised intuitive navigation and accessibility, making it easy for staff to engage with the content.


Seamless Integration of Microsoft Tools

We integrated Microsoft Teams and Viva Connections into the intranet, utilising our Traction Team Workspaces service to create a cohesive digital experience. This integration fostered enhanced collaboration and streamlined communication across the organisation, making teamwork more effective.


Capacity Building through Coaching and Mentoring

To empower HAN's internal IT team, we provided expert guidance and coaching on managing the new intranet. This training enabled the team to build their capabilities, ensuring they could maintain and adapt the platform independently over time.
